About Hemanth
Hemanth Tadepalli is a cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and governance expert with a strong track record of leading security, compliance, and risk management initiatives across both the public and private sectors. He currently serves as a Senior Cybersecurity & Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) at May Mobility, where he supports the development and deployment of secure autonomous vehicle technologies that are reshaping the future of transportation.
Throughout his career, Hemanth has held key roles at leading organizations, including AlixPartners, Mandiant, Google, and SensCy. His work spans enterprise security, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), and emerging technology security, with a particular focus on securing AI systems and autonomous platforms.
Hemanth was appointed by Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to serve on the Advisory Task Force overseeing statewide election security and integrity, where he contributes to safeguarding critical democratic infrastructure. He is also actively involved in advancing innovation through his role on the oversight committee for the University of Michigan’s Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Advanced Transportation Innovation Hub, supporting high-potential technologies in mobility and transportation.
A recognized thought leader, Hemanth has published extensively on cybersecurity, AI, and emerging technologies, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and academic institutions. His contributions have earned him numerous honors, including Oakland County’s 40 Under 40, the Michigan Governor’s Service Award, and recognition as one of the 2025 Top 20 Voices in Automotive.
Hemanth holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Kettering University, with concentrations in cybersecurity and minors in Pre-Law, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. He earned his master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was selected as the student commencement speaker. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cyber Defense at Dakota State University.
Beyond his professional work, Hemanth serves in public office for the City of Troy and sits on the Board of Directors for Kettering University. He is also an active member of the arts community and performs as a violist with the Troy Metro Symphony Orchestra.
